Why Fleet Kitchens

Built for the gaps the big platforms leave open

Peerspace, CloudKitchens, and The Kitchen Door each solve a slice of the problem. Fleet Kitchens is designed around food entrepreneurs — vetted, flexible, and honest about pricing.

Kitchens vetted for food, not just square footage

Unlike generic space marketplaces, every kitchen is confirmed as licensed and health-code ready — with equipment lists you can actually cook against.

The gap Peerspace leaves open

You keep your brand and your margins

No ghost kitchen taking a cut of your menu or owning your customers. Rent the space, run your business, keep your recipes and your upside.

The gap CloudKitchens leaves open

Real short-term & seasonal flexibility

Book a single overnight bake or a weekend truck lease. No long leases, no membership tiers you have to grow into before you're ready.

One transparent 12% take-rate

You see the price the host sets and exactly what we add. No surprise service fees stacked on at checkout, no opaque markups.

Reviews that build local trust

Two-way ratings mean reliable operators and well-run kitchens rise to the top — the liquidity that only comes from going deep in one city.

Insurance & permits handled in-flow

Upload proof once and reuse it across bookings. Hosts see verified status instantly, so approvals happen in hours, not days.

Less paperwork, more cooking

Milwaukee first

We're going deep in one city before we go wide

A rental marketplace is only useful when there's real supply near you. So we're concentrating on commissary-kitchen density across metro Milwaukee first — building enough trucks, kitchens, and honest reviews that you can always find and book what you need.

I ran my first pop-up out of a Fleet Kitchens commissary before I could afford a lease. Booking overnight prep blocks let me test three menus without betting the whole business.

Our commercial kitchen sat empty every afternoon. Now those hours pay the rent. The calendar and verified renters mean I'm not chasing anybody down.

Leasing a truck for festival season was one afternoon of searching instead of two months of cold calls. Permits and specs were right there in the listing.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know before you join the Fleet Kitchens waitlist.

We're building density in Milwaukee first and onboarding founding food trucks and commissary kitchens now. Join the waitlist and you'll be among the first operators and hosts invited when booking opens in your neighborhood.

A rental marketplace only works when there's real supply nearby. By going deep in one metro first, we build enough trucks, kitchens, and reviews for you to actually find and book what you need — then we expand.

Listing is free. On a confirmed booking we take a transparent net 12% — on a typical $290 booking that's about $35. You always see the host's price and our fee before you pay. No memberships, no hidden checkout fees.

Two things: fully-equipped food trucks (by the day, weekend, or season) and licensed commercial / commissary kitchen space (by the hour or in recurring blocks), plus add-ons like cold and dry storage.

Hosts and renters upload permits, licenses, and proof of insurance once. We verify status and surface it on every listing and booking, so both sides know they're covered before confirming.

Never. Unlike ghost-kitchen operators, we don't touch your menu, your customers, or your revenue. You rent the space or the truck and keep 100% of what you sell.
